Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate impurities from a waste solution without necessity of secondary filtration, by separating imputiries adhering onto a mesh drum by air blow.
CONSTITUTION: A waste solution from a fiber washing plant is sprayed onto the inside of a mesh drum 1 through a nozzle 6. The mesh drum is driven by a motor 4 through a rotating shaft 3 supported by a journal 2. Impurities such as waste threads are lifted by the rotation of the mesh drum 1, separated from the mesh drum near the highest position by the pressure of air injected throug a nozzle 5, and falls through a conduit 9 into a reservoir 8. A filtrate is carried to a reservoir 7, and discharged through an outlet 7'. Thus, impurities are recovered easily at a high efficiency without necessity of a secondary filtration.
