Abstract

PURPOSE: A specific phosphate ester is added to a carbamate, which is used as an agricultural chemical, to increase the heat stability largely and to prevent the irritant odor that is evolved during the heat treatment of carbamate.
CONSTITUTION: The carbamate composition comprises a carbamate of formula I (A is phenyl which may be substituted with 1W5C alkyl or halogen atom; R1 is 1W4C alkyl) such as O-sec-butylphenyl-N-methyl carbamate and a phosphate or phoshite ester of formula II (R2 is phenyl which may be substituted with 1W8C alkyl or halogen atom), formula III or IV such as di-n-butyl phosphate, preferably in an amount of 0.02W1wt%. The resultant composition remarkably resists the decomposition of the carbamate, even when melt heated while transportation or dusting process or heated in the preparation for agricultural chemical to improve the working environment.
