Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the term for installing a sewerage manhole, by employing an arrangement capable of connecting sewer pipes to manhole to conform to the inclination angle and upper and lower locations of the sewer pipes when manhole having a prefabricated lower structure is used.
CONSTITUTION: Hole 12 having a diameter larger than the outer diameter of underground pipe 3 is formed in side wall 11 of a lower structural member 1 of split-type manhole the lower portion of which is prefabricated as a unit. Pipe holder 4 is fitted on the underground pipe 3 at the end portion thereof by the intermediary of packing 5 and bonded to the outer surface of lower structural member 1 at the portion thereof around hole 12, by use of adhesive 6. Construction of manhole is completed by filling curing seal material 7 in the space formed between the top 31 of sewer pipe 3 and hole 12 of lower structural member 1.
