Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the weight and production cost of a fan shroud and to improve its productivity and durability by integrally forming the whole components with a light weight material such as resin or aluminum, and by arranging its arm and fitting stay on the same line.
CONSTITUTION: A fan shroud 3 has a flange part 4, and arm 7, shroud part 8 and a fitting stay 9 all together integrally formed with a light weight material such as resin or aluminum. This facilitates to make it easier, to improve its productivity, and to reduce its weight and production cost. Further, the integral formation assists in arranging the arm 7 and fitting stay 9 on the same line, resulting in an improvement of its durability in such a way that loads due to vibrations of the fan 1 and motor 2 may be directly transferred to the stay 9 which has relatively higher rigidity.
