Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a copied image of high quality at all times by dispersing a photoconductive material based on red mercury sulfide in a binder resin forming a photosensitive layer to enhance the photosensitivity and endurance of the layer.
CONSTITUTION: Photoconductive material powder based on red mercury sulfide of about 1W10μ particle size is blended with a 5W80% acrylic binder resin or the like contg. a charge carrying substance such as polyvinylcarbazole, and the mercury sulfide particles are dispersed in the resin using a suitable solvent. This dispersion is then applied to a support to form a photosensitive layer. Thus, an electrophotographic receptor having low residual potential and stable image forming characteristics in repeating use is obtd.
