Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Electric-current detecting circuit 21 detects abnormal electric current flowing through an output transformer due to a load short earlier than electric-current detecting circuit 10 and then converts it into a DC voltage. Comparator 22 compares this DC voltage to reference voltage 7 and, when the DC voltage is higher, generates an output of "H". Voltage detecting circuit 23 detects and converts the input voltage of control electric power source 14 into a DC voltage. Comparator 24 compares the output voltage of voltage detecting circuit 23 to reference voltage 7 and, when reference voltage 7 is higher, generates an output of "H". On detecting at least either of outputs of comparators 22 and 24 being held at "H", OR gate 25 outputs a trigger signal to monostable oscillator 26. Oscillator 26 outputs a reset signal to soft-start circuit 11 for a certain time to stop a switching regulator.
