Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a coil having a high reliability by shifting a latching portion of adjacent conductors wound in a spiral state to a wound direction, thereby alleviating the stress applied to said latching portion. CONSTITUTION:A forming method of a coil is the same as a conventional method. When adjacent conductors latch each other by making a projected portion 5 set at a turn portion of said latching portion, the latching portion is shifted in the winding direction between the turns and then an insulating key is inserted between the projected portions 5. Especially, according as the shift of the first winding 11 to the last winding, the latch portion is adapted to shift in order. According to this process, even if a hoop force acts to both left and right, there exists no two force lines which passes through the conductor. Further, two times the excess force is not applied on one turn, but the reliability increases due to the decrease of the stress, thereby being able to lessen the size of the conductor. Furthermore, since the projected portions 5 are aligned on each conductor turn synmetrically, the current in the coil passes through the center of the conductor and the mismatching field due to the projected portion is small.
