Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A basic character font signal read out of character font memory 31 is input to shift register 32 and shifted at the same period with dot print to compose a composite character font signal, which is input to AND gates 34W37 together with the basic character font signal. Either signal is assigned by switching with an external signal, and consequently the assigned character font signal only is input to and printed by print head 39. Therefore, each print character consists of the basic character font, so that the capacity of a memory can be minimized.
