Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the measurement of microflow rates possible by such constitution wherein the pulse signals of a photodetector detecting the same through slits on a braking disc provided to an impeller shaft are operated and displayed. CONSTITUTION:An impellr 1 is supported at both ends of a shaft 2 in a perpendicular direction by means of magnetic attraction thrust bearings 3. Liquid flows through an input pipe 4 into a lower chamber 5 where it passes through the multiple vane parts provided on the outside circumference of the impeller 1 and gives rotating motion thereto, after which it enters an upper chamber 6, and flows out through an outlet pipe 7. The pulse signals emitted by a photointerruptor 9 detecting the light through the slits arranged at equal intervals on the circumference on a braking disc 8 provided to the shaft 2 are operated with a counter 17, whereby flow rates are indicated. Thereby, microflow rates are measured easily.
