Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a quantity of discharging liquid as small as possible, by scrubbing ion-exchange resins containing attached or adsorbed suspending solid substance, and by circulating the treating water after filtration through a filter.
CONSTITUTION: Ion-exchange resins used for treating radioactive liq. etc. is supplied to a tank 1, and scrubbed with water and air induced into the lower part of said tank 1. The treating water is sent to a filter 9 and returned through it to the tank 1. On the other hand, the solid substance caught in the filter 9 is stripped from the filter and discharged after a back washing. Thus, as the discharged liq. consists of only a comparatively conc. suspension, the quantity of said liq. can be limited to an amount as small as possible and the treatment of the discharging waste liq. is performed with a reduced running cost in a short process and the exposed amount is also reduced.
