Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled ink, prepared by dispersing a specific polyurethane resin containing metallic alt groups of sulfonic acid and a pigment in a mixed medium of water with an organic compound, and capable of exhibiting improved adhesiveness to polyester films and metal and water resistance without using a primer.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous printing ink prepared by dispersing (A) a polyurethane resin obtained by reacting (i) a polyester resin consisting of a dicarboxylic acid component consisting of 2W20mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid containing a metallic salt group of sulfonic acid, 98W50mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid containing no metallic salt of sulfonic acid and 0W30mol% 4W36C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a glycol component consisting of 20W100mol% 2W8C aliphatic glycol and 80W0mol% ethylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A with (ii) a polyisocyanate compound in an amount of 0.3W1.5 equivalents based on one equivalent hydroxyl group in the component (ii) and (B) a pigment in (C) a mixed medium of water with a water-compatible organic compound.
