Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the cutting accuracy of a material being cut as well as to reduce vibration and noise, etc., the time of cutting by controlling a cutting speed of a sawing machine during cutting process to be changed periodically. CONSTITUTION:A band saw blade is engaged between a driving wheel and a driven wheel, and a material being cut is cut and processed with this band saw blade. A hange gear mechanism 43 is interposed between an axle of this driving wheel and a motor 45, and an actuating apparatus 115 for actuating the speed change gear 43 is actuated at a prescribed interval periodically by a command from a speed control device 125 during cutting and processing. Accompained by this actuation, the speed change gear mechanism 43 is actuated periodically, and the number of revolutions of the motor 45 is changed. Accordingly, the blade speed of the band saw blade engaged with both wheels is changed periodically, thereby vibration and noise, etc., can be reduced ovbiously, at the time of cutting a material being cut.
