Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality mirror having the reduced distortion, by using a metallic mold containing a cavity housing having a matching face at the position where a mirror substrate is equally divided in its thickness to give the injection molding to the mirror substrate so as to obtain a special form that satisfies a specific relation between the laeral length and the thin part thickness of the mirror substrate. CONSTITUTION:For production of an indoor dazzle-proof mirror for car with use of the methacrylic resin, etc., the length (l) of the prism mirror and the thickness (t) of the thin part are set so as to satisfy a special relation shown by equationsIand II. At the same time, a metallic mold is formed so that a cavity housing 10 is formed by a mold plate 6 of the fixed side and a mold plate 7 of the mobile side in order to have a matching face A-A' at the position where the thickness of a mirror substrate 1 is equally divided. A hardened film 2 is formed on both surfaces of the substrate 7 produced from such metallic mold with use of the photoset or thermosetting resin. Furthermore a metallic reflecting film 3 and a back coat film 4 are formed on either one of both surfaces. In such way, a prism mirror which has the reduced distortion regardless of the moisture can be obtained.
