Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the inner surface of molded articles such as containers, tubes, etc. to be uniformly treated, by a method wherein when a material to be treated, approaches the injection port of an activated gas, the gas is injected, said material being held by arms radially protruded from a rotating shaft. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin molded article 14, e.g. in the form of a bottle, is placed on a holding member 15 above a horizontal holder 16 within a reactor 9. A rotating shaft 12 is rotated to bring about a predetermined vacuum within the reactor 9 by means of an exhaust tube 17 connected to a pressure-reducing apparatus. While introducing gas from a gas-introducing pipe 10 into a plasma generator 5, the gas is irradiated with microwave under a predetermined vacuum to activate the gas. The gas is jetted via a gas-transporting pipe 10 from an injection port 11. When the bottle approaches the injection port 11, the activated gas is blown into the bottle to treat the inner surface thereof. Since the molded article 14 is continuously or intermittently rotated within the reactor 9, the inner surface can uniformly be treated and a plurality of molded articles can be treated at a time.
