Abstract
PURPOSE: A normally solid curable composition excellent in blocking resistance, curability and weather resistance and suitable for powder coatings, a normally solid, active hydrogencontaining resin and a normally solid urethane and epoxy group- containing compound.
CONSTITUTION: A curable composition comprising (A) an epoxy group-reactive, active hydrogen-containing, normally solid resin, e.g., carboxyl group-containing acryl resin, polyester resin or a copolymer thereof, and (B) a normally solid, urethane linkage ad epoxy group-containing compound, e.g., a compound of the formula, wherein R1 is a hexamethylene, R2 is a C2W12 alkylene or cycloalkylene an n is 0W2. Here, compound B contains a urethane linkage in the molecule, has a low molecular weight, can easily become said at room temperature even at low molecular weight, can easily become solid at room temperatures even at low molecular weights, exhibits good blocking resistance and imparts excellent weather resistance. Compound B is highly reactive with an active hydrogen, and imparts excellent curability to the composition.
