Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce an undercoat film excellent in anticorrosive property and corrosion resistance by a method wherein a slurry coating material containing a bisphenol A type epoxy resin is coated and then a slurry coating material based on a polyester resin is coated.
CONSTITUTION: In an undercoating method using a slurry coating material in a reverse-roll coating process, a thermosetting slurry coating material containing at least 20wt% of a bisphenol A type epoxy resin in solid resin contents is coated by a wet-on-wet system, followed by coating a slurry coating material based on a thermosetting or thermoplastic acrylic or polyester resin. By using two kinds of slurry coating materials, one of which is excellent in anticorrosive property and the other is excellent in weather resistance and thermoflowing malleability, it is possible to produce an undercoat film excellent in smoothness in addition to anticorrosive property and corrosion resistance.
