Abstract

PURPOSE: To continue the substantially same patterns and obtain the decorative sheet of a grain pattern or the like at a low cost by employing a customary small diametral roll by a method wherein the feeding speed of a base material is made higher than the peripheral speed of a roll transferring ink to the base material to print under causing a slip therebetween.
CONSTITUTION: In case a pattern printing is effected on the base material such as paper, a synthetic resin film or the like by employing a printing machine for a gravure, a gravure-offset or the like, the feeding speed of the base material is made higher than the peripheral speed of the roll transferring ink to the base material to cause the slip at the contacting point of the base material and the roll. A coating medium or the ink entered into recesses processed by a process roll is extended longitudinally and is transferred to the base material to print the pattern of a desired size. For the furter reference, the feeding speed of the base material is preferable to be 1.2W2.0 times of the peripheral speed of the roll.
