Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent any unusual temperature rise, which might be caused due to excessive fuel supply, by regulating the main and the auxiliary valves of a fuel supplying system by subtracting the temperature value from the output voltage signal and the output current signal when the temperature is above a given value. CONSTITUTION:Fuel is supplied to a fuel cell 2 from a fuel supplying device 1 through an auxiliary valve 32 and a main valve 31. The output voltage of the cell 2 is passed through a PID voltage controlling circuit 61 so as to regulate the auxiliary valve 32, and the output current of the cell 2 is passed through a compensating amplifying circuit 71 so as to regulate the main valve 31. The temperature of the cell 2 is detected with a detector 4, and a fan 44 is operated. At the same time, when the temperature becomes above a given value, the amount of fuel supply is reduced by regulating the valves 31 and 32 by actuating a switch 52, and by giving signals to adding circuit 63 and 72 so as to make the value to be subtracted from the voltage signal and the current signal. Consequently, ill effect for the battery reaction can be eliminated by preventing any unusual temperature rise.
