Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase airtight sealing strength, by inserting a cover body with longitudinal grooves by inserting a sleeve where an optical fiber coated grooves by inserting a sleeve where an optical fiber coated with metal at insertion part is inserted from the high hydraulic pressure side of the flank plate of a housing, and achieving airtight sticking by using metal having a low melting point. CONSTITUTION:An introduction hole 2 is made in the flank plate 2 of a housing 1 from the high hydraulic pressure side to the low hydraulic pressure side. A sleeve 3 introduced into the hole 2 is fixed with a nut 4, and the sleeve 3 and flank plate 2 come into contact in a cone surface 5 to hold airtightness, and an 0 ring 6 is further provided. A cover body 7 has longitudinal grooves on its external surface, and an optical fiber is inserted to prevent low-melting-point metal 10 from flowing out. The primary coating of the quartz clad or plastics of an optical fiber core 8 is coated with metal 9, and the core is inserted into an intruduction hole 11. Then, the cover body 7 is fitted in the sleeve 3, and on the flank of the sleeve 3, the metal 10 is built up to achieve airtight sticking. The building-up height of the metal (h) is several mm. for excellent airtightness, and the thermal deterioration of the optical fiber is evaded to improve its reliability.
