Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a coating with corrosion resistance and antiwear property by flame spraying a metal oxide powder based on Al2O3 on a surface of an iron enamel prior to coating a fluorine resin thereon.
CONSTITUTION: Enamel is formed on a steel plate for the enamel with a stock powder and baked. Subsequently, on a surface of said enamel, a metal oxide powder based on alumina is flame sprayed by a plasma machine to obtain a flame spraying coating. Next, a fluorine resin is coated on said coating surface and baked. By the above described method, the molten alumina powder flying through high temp. plasma is collided to the enamel surface to partly melt the enamel and, thereby, because said enamel captures said alumina, adhesiveness of the alumina powder becomes strong. Therefore, the fluorine resin coated thereon is also adhered effectively.
