Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having improved memory effect and suitable as a sealant for building use, by compounding an epoxy group-containing plasticizer to an oxyalkylene polymer having corsslinkable silicone functional group.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by kneading (A) 100pts.wt. of an oxyalkylene polymer having a molecular weight of 300W15,000, a main chain essentially composed of the group -R'-O (R' is bivalent 1W4C alkylene), and a crosslinkable silicone functional group, e.g. the group of formula (a is 0W 2; R1 is univalent hydrocarbon group; X is hydroxyl or hydrolyzable group) at least at one terminal, with (B) 1W150pts. of a plasticizer containing epoxy groups in the molecule (e.g. expoxidized unsaturated oil or fat). When the group bonded to the terminal silicon group is hydroxyl group, the composition is preferably used in combination with a reactive silicone compound.
