Abstract

PURPOSE: To constantly generate O2 for a fixed time without suddenly releasing O2 by mixing cakes which consist of PVA and a specified catalyst and are different from each other in disintegration time with sodium percarbonate and by adding water to the mixture when the absorption of O2 is required.
CONSTITUTION: Powder of MnO2 or a metallic salt of Fe, Cu, Pb or the like is added to an aqueous PVA soln. while changing the concn. of the soln., and they are molded into a speherical shape and dried to form several kinds of cakes which are different from each other in disintegration time in water. The cakes are mixed with sodium percarbonate, and when the adsorption of O2 is required, by adding water to the mixture, the cakes are disintegrated at intervals of several min to constantly generate O2 for a fixed time. When 2mol sodium percarbonate is used, 1.0W1.5l/min oxygen can be generated for 20W30min.
