Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A pyrazolopyrimidine derivative expressed by formulaI(R1 is H or 1W3C alkyl; R2 is H or CH3; R3 is 3W5C branched alkyl; 5W6C cycloalkyl, phenyl or phenyl substituted by halogen, 1W3C alkyl and alkoxyl).
EXAMPLE: 4,6-Dioxo-5-isopropyl-1-methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydropyrazolo[ 3,4-d ]pyrimidine.
USE: A herbicide, useful for plowed fields, arboretums or mulberry farms, etc. and capable of exhibiting a powerful herbicidal effect on Indian jointvetch, buckwheat, etc. by the post-emergency foliar treatment and against green amaranth, Indian jointvetch, buckwheat, etc. by the pre- and post-emergence soil treatment.
PROCESS: A compound expressed by formula II (Et is ethyl) is reacted with an isocyanate expressed by formula III to form a urea derivative expressed by formula IV, which is then subjected to the ring closing reaction in an alcohol in the presence of an alcoholate catalyst to afford the compound expressed by formulaI.
