Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled nematocide that contains methyl N,N-diethyldithiocarbamate as an active ingredient, thus showing superior effect against nematodes giving damages to crops without chemcial injury to crops with high safety by simple application operation.
CONSTITUTION: N,N-diethylthiocarbamic ethyl ester boiling at 256°C/760mmHg is used as an active ingredient and made into granule or powder preparations by impregnating a carrier such as granular dieselghur or bentonite with the same. Or the active ingreadient is mixed with a carrier and a surface active agent and they are kneaded with water and made into granular preparations by usual agricultural preparation techniques. The content of the active ingredient can be varied from 5 to 40% in the composition. The resultant composition has excellent effect against sweet potato southern root-knot nematodes and chrysanthenum root-lesion nematodes and gives no chemcial injury to crops such as tomato, cucumber or burdock.
