Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain preferable printing quality in a magnetic ink recorder by arranging a nonmagnetic member on the surface of a concentrating position of the line of magnetic force of a magnet provided in the recorder, thereby preventing the concentration of the ink at the concentrating position of the line of magnetic force produced at the time of allowing to stand for a long time. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic unit 11 made of resin or the like in a projected shape is secured to a bonded part of a part contacted with a recording stylus 5 of a raised magnet 7 of a recording head 4 and a shielding plate 8. The surface shape of the unit 11 is so determined as to contain the part in which the product of the intensity of magnetic field and a magnetic gradient is larger than the prescribed value all in the unit 11 in such a manner that ink 1 is adhered to the position isolated at the prescribed distance from the concentrating position of the line of magnetic force. In this manner, the ink 1 which is introduced to the head 4 via a capillary tube 10 is not concentrated even if it is allowed to stand for a long time, thereby maintaining preferable printing quality.
