Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure a highly efficient fill-up of the silver wax, i.e., a cement, by applying the copper plating into an extremely small slit of an opening provided on the constitution surface of back gap of a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A winding window groove 11, a binder-filling grooves 12 and 13 plus a slit 14 are provided on a surface of a sendust block 10. The slit 14 is formed on the constitution surface of back gap, and a copper plating layer 15 is formed on the surface of the grooves 12 and 13 plus slit 14, respectively. The layer 15 of the groove 11 is limited at the side of the back gap. A mask 16 is provided to the block, and a weighed mixture powder 17 of silver and copper is filled into the grooves and the slit. The powder substance is pressed to be filled with a high density, and then the mask 16 is removed. After this, a quartz glass plate 18 is put on the block and heated and melted at 800-1,000 deg.C and in a vauum atmosphere. Thus the powder substance is changed into an alloy and then a silver wax 17'. The upper surface of the block filled up with the silver wax is polished and then butted against the other block. Then the silver wax is melted and solidified to unify the both blocks. This unified block is divided along the broken lines.
