Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently remove dust from an exhaust gas in an incinerator furnace for organic sludge, by swirling an exhaust gas after combustion by a guide vanes provided in a flue, to remove coarse dust from the gas, as well as to remove powdery dust by a cyclone. CONSTITUTION:When combustible sludge 2 is fed from an inlet 4 and is spread uniformly over a slanted furnace floor 7 in a combustion chamber 5 by the intermediary of a screw 6, the sludge 2 is burnt by a burner 16, and ash content produced is carried out of the furnace by a screw 15. On the other hand, the exhaust gas produced in a combustion chamber 5 is introduced into a conbustion chamber 18. The gas is further burnt, and comes upward through a flue 19 which is built at the top of a chamber 18. The rising exhaust gas reaching the center part of a flue produces swirls by the rotary movement of spiral guide vanes 20 and 21, while coarse dust 24 comes into collision with an internal circumferential wall of a flue by a centrifugal force, and falling down turning into a dust mass 33. A part of exhaust gas reaches a cyclone 26 through a duct 25, and here, powdery duct 27 is removed and purified, and the gas is exhausted from a flue 35.
