Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled material, useful as a material for an artificial kidney, and capable of adjusting the combined amount of heparin, by reacting an acrylonitrile polymer with glycidyl (meth)acrylate in the presence of a polymerization initiator, and then reacting the resultant product with heparin.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An acrylonitrile polymer, e.g. acrylonitrile-methyl acrylate copolymer, is reacted with (B) glycidyl (meth)acrylate in the presence of (C) a polymerization initiator, e.g. ceric ammonium nitrate or 2,2-azobis(2-amidinopropane)hyerochloride, at a reaction temperature of 0W90°C. The resultant reaction product is then reacted with (D) heparin in an aqueous solvent at 0W90°C to give the aimed material.
