Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the efficiency of dehydration for the aqueous slurry of coal powder by using a chemical composition composed of acrylamide and an acrylamide cation modification.
CONSTITUTION: A chemical composition contains either one amoung an acrylamide polymer having an average molecular weight of 1,000W1,000,000, a copolymer of the acrylamide and another ethylenic unsaturated compound (e.g., unsaturated hydrocarbon, unsaturated carboxylic acid, unsaturated alcohol, unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, etc.), a hydrolysate or cation-modification of the copolymer, a polymer or acrylamide cation-modification, or a copolymer of the acrylamide cation- modification and another ethylenic unsaturated compound, and the content of acrylamide or cation-modified acrylamide is regulated to ≥10wt%.
