Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent overheating of the turbine rotor upon starting by providing at least two turbines having pressures different from each other, and, when one of these turbines is increased in speed, causing temperature adjusted steam to flow into another turbine. CONSTITUTION:Prior to air supply to the turbine, the metal temperature measurement at the initial stage of the high pressure turbine 2 and the exhausting port rotor by thermocouples 42 and 43, and a cooling water adjusting valve 46 is opened or closed until the metal temperature at the exhaust port rotor coincides with the steam temperature due to a thermometer 47 at the outlet of a desuperheater 27. By this procedure, the desuperheater 27 is warmed up to obtain adjusted steam of a stable temperature. After starting the turbine, a part of reheated steam is introduced into the high pressure turbine 2. When the temperature of metal at the above initial stage part reaches a predetermined temperature, a flow adjusting valve 28 is opened, and adjusted steam is caused to flow into the high-pressure turbine 2. Upon this occasion, a condenser bypass pipe control valve 48 is opened or closed in interlinkage with the flow adjusting valve 28.
