Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an induction of idling an induction motor in an electric motor vehicle by suppressing the modulation degree of the output voltage of an inverter responsive to the deviation between the output current of the inverter and a command value so as not to increase from a value corresponding to the output frequency of the inverter. CONSTITUTION:An adder/subtractor 8 adds or subtracts the rotating frequency fM of an induction motor 6a and a constant slip frequency fS and outputs the output frequency fINV of an inverter 5. A comparator 10 outputs a deviation between the motor current I and a constant current reference value IP. A limiter 12 inputs the output of the comparator 10, outputs a modulation degree PMF exhibiting the degree of the modulation of the variable output voltage of the inverter 5, and limits the value so as not to exceed the maximum modulation degree responsive to the frequency of the inverter. A phase shifter 11 decides the operation of the inverter 5 which supplies the power of the variable voltage and variable frequency to induction motors 6a, 6b in response to the output frequency FINV and the modulation degree PMF.
