Abstract
PURPOSE: The polymerization equipment which is coated with a fluororesin on the surface with which the polymerization product comes into contact is used to produce a vinyl chloride polymer or copolymer with no formation of scales sticking to the equipment.
CONSTITUTION: In the polymerization of vinyl chloride or copolymerization thereof with a copolymerizable monomer, the polymerization equipment is lined or coated with a fluororesin such as polytetrafluoroethylene, preferably in a thickness of less than 0.3mm, on the surface with which the polymer comes into contact, e.g., the polymerization tank and stirrer, to prevent the formation and sticking of scales.
