Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled molding material, obtained by incorporating a phenolic resin with a specific amount of polyethylene powder a curing agent and another additive, useful as a sliding member without the fear of damaging the opposite material, and usable for reinforcing glass fibers, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A molding material obtained by incorporating a phenolic resin with 0.5W3wt%, based on the total amount of polyethylene powder, a curing agent and another additive. The polyethylene powder preferably has a softening point of 90W100°C. The polyethylene powder is blended with an inorganic filler, e.g. glass fibers, and then incorporated with the phenolic resin.
