Abstract

PURPOSE:To combine a fan made of aluminum with the eddy current brake, and to miniaturize and lighten the motor by mounting the fan to a shaft and setting up a coil for the brake while being opposed to the disk section of the fan. CONSTITUTION:The fan 9 is formed by attaching a blade 8 to the disk 10 made of aluminum, and the fan is mounted to one end section of the shaft 4. The coil 11 for the brake is set up at the inside of a bracket 5 while being opposed to the disk section 10 of the fan 9, and the eddy current brake is formed. Accordingly, since the fan and the brake can be combined, the generation of heat of the brake can be inhibited while the motor can be miniaturized and lightened, and assembly and manufacture are also facilitated.
