Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the fouling of a transfer recorder as well as eliminate the slippage between a recording paper and an ink film by using a system in which the width of the ink film for making a heat-sensitive transfer printing on the recording paper is made larger than that of the recording paper and a portion of the ink film is designed to be pressed by a platen. CONSTITUTION:Since the width of an ink film 14 is made larger than that of a recording paper 13 and also a platen 12 is provided with a portion 12a where the recording paper 13 and the ink film 14 are pressed on a recording head 1 and with a portion 12b larger than the portion 12a by as much as the thickness of the recording paper 13 and touched by both ends of the ink film 14, no recording by the recording head 1 is made. Even when the frictional force between the recording paper 13 and the ink film 14 is small, the frictional force between the ink film 14 and the portion 12a of the platen 12 counteracts the frictional force between the ink film 14 and the printing head 1. Therefore, the recording paper 13 and the ink film 14 can be sent without any slippage.
