Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the use of a toner replenisher of the same construction possible by the selection of a cam suited for environments to select the elongation or contraction cycles of a spring by incorporating the construction wherein the coil spring suspended in a toner hopper is elongated or contracted thereby preventing the bridging between the bottom of the hopper and the toner. CONSTITUTION:A coil spring 6 is suspended and provided to a side wall 5 of a toner hopper 1. A roller 3 for replenishing the toner is rotated freely in the direction of an arrow 9. A cam 11 is secured to the shaft end of the roller 3. A projecting part 12 is provided on the outside surface of the side wall 5' of the hopper 1, and a lever 13 is inserted into the slot parts at the center of the part 12 and is supported freely turnably with respect to a pin 14. A cam follower 15 is supported freely turnably to the leading end of the lever 13, and is so constituted as to follow up the movement of the cam in abutment on the cam surface of the cam 11. The end of the coil spring is detained to the other end of the lever 13. The toner is replenished smotthly by the elongation or contraction of the spring in arrow directions.
