Abstract

PURPOSE:To monitor the peak level of an input signal and frequency distribution by providing a means of dividing a frequency band for a multichannel input signal and by performing spectral display of levels of divided signals on a display board by frequency bands. CONSTITUTION:An L-channel signal from a terminal 1a is passed through BPFs 3a having center frequencies f1-fn and characteristics a1-an to obtain (n) spectral signals, which are smoothed 4a. An R-channel signal from a terminal 1b is the same. They are supplied to a multiplexer 5 and a level axis driving circuit 6. Further, they are time-divided in series and supplied to comparators. The comparators are provided corresponding to the numbers of levels of a display board 7 and given individual reference voltages to extract and supply a drive output to a level axis display circuit when an input exceeding a corresponding reference value arrives. The signal of a decoder 9, on the other hand, is used to generate a drive signal 8, and frequency distribution of respective input signals is displayed on elements 7a and 7b as well as a maximum level. Therefore, comparisons between both the channels are made without fail.
