Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a protection element for large electric power by making a transistor itself absorb surge current. CONSTITUTION:A series circuit consisting of a current limitting resistance 8 and a voltage regulating diode 9 is connected between the collector and the base of a transistor TR3 and the series circuit constitutes a surge circuit 10. Consequently, when the TR3 is going to be turned off and the collector voltage becomes higher than the operation voltage of the voltage regulating diode 9, current flows into the base of the TR3 through a surge detecting circuit 10 and the TR3 is not quickly turned off, so that surge current generated by a solenoid 2 is absorbed by the TR3.
