Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a good emulsion without requiring large driving power with a device of simple construction having no moving parts by providing baffle plates in spiral narrow paths formed between an outside cylinder and an inside cylinder and flowing a mixture of dissimilar liquids in said narrow paths. CONSTITUTION:A blind flange 2 and an inside cylinder flange 9 mounted with an inside cylinder 5 are secured to the outside cylinder flange 4 at both ends of an outside cylinder 1 having an inlet socket 3 mounted in a tangential direction by means of bolts 17 and nuts 18. Spiral external teeth 6 are formed on the outside circumference of the cylinder 5, and the outside surface of the teeth 6 contact the inside surface of the cylinder 1 tightly, thereby forming narrow paths 7. Baffle plates 8 are fitted in the outside cylinder grooves 10 of the cylinder 1 and the external tooth grooves 11 of the teeth 6, thereby forming baffle plate narrow paths. A core bar 14 mounted with baffle plates 13 is provided in the cylinder 5, or packing for agitation (not shown) is packed thereon, whereby a mixing effect is improved.
