Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time of a processor because of double recording by providing a cross-call control circuit for exercising signal control between two directors and control over a data buffer, and recording the same data in two magnetic disk devices CONSTITUTION:A processor 1A outputs a write command to a director 3A through an interface cable 8A. The director 3A records data in a magnetic disk device 6 through an interface cable 9A. At the same time, the director 3A transfers the data to a data buffer 4, and also sends a control signal for the data buffer 4 and another control signal including address information on the magnetic disk device 6 to a cross-call control circuit 5. A director 3B, on the other hand, reads data out of the data buffer 4 and then records the data in the magnetic disk device 6 through an interface cable 9B.
