Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a plastic filter for luminous displaying which is obtained by providing an org. silicon type hard film contg. fine silica particles on the surface of a transparent plastic base material and which makes the display image plane easy to see by suppressing the degradation in resolution and preventing surface glaring. CONSTITUTION:After an org. silicon compd. such as methyltrimethoxysilane or vinyltrimethoxysilane is hydrolyzed partially by using an acid such as hydrochloric acid, it is compounded with a curing catalyst and fine silica particles of about 5-200mmu average particle sizes, whereby the paint contg. 1-5pts.wt. the fine silica particles in 100pts.wt. the cured film is prepd. This paint is coated on the surface of a transparent plastic base material and is dried, whereby the org. silicon type hardened film of 0.05-0.5mu surface roughness in CLA value, and <=75% surface specular reflectance is formed, and the intended plastic filter for luminous displaying is obtained.
