Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a granular pigment giving a colored resin resistant to thermal history and free from color shading, and easily changeable to another color pigment, at a low cost, by mixing a pigment with a specific amount of a dispersing agent consisting of a mixture of a higher fatty acid metal salt and a fatty acid amide.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A pigment such as carbon black is mixed with (B) a dispersing agent obtained by mixing a higher fatty acid metal salt (e.g. magnesium stearate) and a fatty acid amide (e.g. ethylenebisstearoamide) at a weight ratio of (5W95):(95W5), by a tumbling mixer, etc. The mixture is molten e.g. by taking advantage of the heat of mixing, and granulated to obtain the objective granular pigment. The weight ratio of (A):(B) is (25W75):(75W25).
EFFECT: The deterioration of the working environment by dust scattering can be prevented.
