Abstract
PURPOSE:To make constitution simple by oscillating the optical axis connecting a target and a sensor optical system, measuring the oscillation speed and a focal length of a known lens and the oscillation speed of an optical target image on a reticle surface and calculating the distance up to the target. CONSTITUTION:With the optical axis (x) connecting a target 1 and an optical sensor system 2 as a center, the target 1 which can be regarded as a spot light source located in a position apart by a distance (l) from said system is image- formed on a reticle 4 surface installed in the position of a focal length (f) behind a lens 3 by the lens 3 oscillating within the plane perpendicular to the optical axis. The transmitted light through the slit parts 4' of the reticle 4 is converted to electric signals by a detector 5. The periods of the output electric signals is measured with an amplifier 7, a pulse former 8, a pulse period measuring device 9 and a min. period measuring device 10, whereby the oscillating speed of the target 1 is measured and further the distance up to the target 1 is measured.
