Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the loosening and settling of the ground on the bank side of a shoring by a method in which sheathing plates are placed on the slopes of excavated soil inside the flanges of adjacent soldier beam, and wales provided along the inside of th sheathing are clamped to the end of the flange of the soldier beam by a clamping metal to compact the back-filled soil.
CONSTITUTION: Steel soldier beams 1 with inside flanges 2 are vertically driven at equal intervals, and then soil is cut off along the frontal line of the flanges 2. And, hook clamping metals 3 are attached to the ends of the flanges 2 at a given interval, sheathing plates 4 are contacted with the surface of the cut soil, and then wales 5 are attached to the metal 3. Then, back-filling soil 6 in a necessary amount is filled in the back side of the sheathing 4 under a condition that the nut 12 of the metals 3 is loosened, and the metals 3 are clamped to fully consolidate the soil 6 filled between the sheathing 4 and shoring. Furthermore, a pressure is applied to the surface of the excavated soil from inside to eliminate the loosening and displacement of the soil on the bank side of the shoring. Thus, the settlement of the adjoining ground and also of the adjoining structure can be prevented.
