Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent collapse through the consolidation of 4 sides of an excavated hole and to scrape down and rub off soil under a strut, by a method wherein blade plates are rockably attached to both side plates of a shovel by means of pins.
CONSTITUTION: Drive means 3 are mounted at both sides of a bottom part of a shovel 1, vertical blade plates 2 are attached by means of pins to a part positioned slightly upper than a center part of the opposite side plates of the shovel 1, and the free end of the vertical blade plate engages the drive means at the bottom. This permits the rocking movement of the vertical blade plates 2 against the shovel 1. The excavation, which is performed by means of the shovel 1, enables removing, scraping off, or rubbing off of soil under a strut, and permits also the consolidation of 4 side walls of the excavated hole.
