Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the confirmation of whether a wick is lowered to its flame extincition position or not by a method wherein an indicator indicating the combustion and extinction of equipment due to the vertical movement of the wick is provided to have a construction in which the extinction of the equipment is indicated at least in the case that the wick is in the position lower than the spontaneous flame extinction height.
CONSTITUTION: The predetermined wick raising operation is completed with the wick 4 being raised by the pivoting motion of an operating lever 8 and 6 due to the pushing down of an operating lever 9 by a knob 12 and with an engaging stop pin 13 on the operating lever 9 being engaged with an engaging stop body 14. The extinction operation under the state just mentioned above is performed by the disengagement between the engaging stop pin 13 and the engaging stop body 14 by means of a extinction button or the like and by the lowering of the wick 4 with spring force. In the operations described above a lamp 17 is turned ON by a switch 15, which is made ON by a switching metal piece 16 during the wick raising operation, and turned OFF by a switch 15, which is made OFF by the lowering of the wick 4 into the spontaneous extinction region during the wick lowering operation. In such a manner as mentioned above, the lowered state of the wick 4 is easily confirmed.
