Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the combusting air sucking force of the combustion apparatus such as a fan heater by a method wherein there is provided a choking section capable of giving rise to scking action on the side of a combustion gas passage due to an air stream flowing through a hot wind passage and the air stream is flowed through the choking section at a certain angle of inclination with respect to the latter.
CONSTITUTION: The rotation of a fan 8 by a fan motor 9 at the time of combustion of a burner 7 produces a hot air stream and when the hot air stream passes through the choking passage 19 between a wind regulating plate 11 and an outer cylinder 12, a negative pressure generates on the downstream side of the choking section 19 and as a result, the combustion air flows into the burner 7 through passages 15 and 16 to be mixed with a fuel vaoprized from a wick 14. In this case, the hot air stream is flowed through the choing section 19 from a direction (c) inclined with respect to the end surface of the wind regulating plate 11 so that the velocity of the hot air stream passing through the choking passage 19 is expressed by the arrow (d) to thereby produce a greater sucking force and to prevent the generation of air cutting sounds at the end surface of the wind regulating plate 11.
