Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an interior material excellent in the resistance to the fire of a tobacco and having a sharply embossed pattern, by laminating an uncrosslinked PVC sheet that has not been irradiated with an active energy ray onto a PVC foamable layer that is capable of being chemically embossed. CONSTITUTION:The PVC used for the PVC sheet and the PVC foamable layer is made up of a homopolymer having an average polymerization degree of 700-4,000 or a copolymer of vinyl chloride and a monomer copolymizable therewith and having the same average polymerization degree. The PVC sheet that can be crosslinked by means of an active energy ray may contain a reactive plasticizer, a photosensitizer, a stabillizer or an antioxidant. The activating energy ray is, specifically preferably, an active ray having a wave length of 1,800-7,000Angstrom . As a foaming agent that will be added to the PVC foamable layer are used azo-compounds, hydrazide compounds and nitroso compounds.
