Abstract
PURPOSE:To elevate a rotary speed detecting sensitivity of an electromagnetic sensor, by constituting so that a movement locus width of the end of a rotational frequency detecting part, a maximum distance between a part to be detected and a magnet of the electromagnetic sensor, etc. are set to prescribed times as large as the diameter of the end of the magnet. CONSTITUTION:On the end of a rotary shaft 4 is provided a part 9 to be detected, having a movement locus width l1, and the density of a magnetic flux is varied in accordance with a relative position of the part to be detected 9 and a maget 11 of the end diameter (d) of an electromagnetic sensor 10. In accordance with this variation, voltage which is generated in a cylindrical coil 12 of the sensor 10 is detected, and a rotary speed of the rotary shaft 4 is measured. When this width l1 is set to 0.3-0.8 times as wide as the diameter (d) and also a maximum distance l2 between the part to be detected 9 and the magnet 11 is selected as 0.9-1.5times as long as the diameter (d), the optimum condition is satisfied, and the rotary speed detecting accuracy by the electromagnetic sensor is elevated.
