Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve pressure fixing performance, heat fixing performance, etc., by selecting a binder resin in a toner composition for use in electrophotography, electrostatic recording, etc., and a resin obtained by treating a transfer material so as to raise chemical affinity between the 2 resins. CONSTITUTION:A binder resin, such as epoxy, polyester, or acrylic resin, and carbon black, pigment, and the like colorant are used as essential contstituents to prepare a dry type toner composition. The absolute value of the difference between the dissolution parameter of a resin component amounting to or above 20wt% of a binder resin used for the toner composition and that of a resin component exceeding 20wt% of a resin composition obtained by treating the transfer material for fixing an image is regulated within 0.5 by selecting both the resins to be used, thus permitting high chemical affinity between both the resin to be obtained, and therefore, fixing strength to be enhanced.
